CID records statement from Zaharan's wife for five hours

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Criminal Investigations Department had recorded a statement from Fathima Hadiya, the wife of terrorist Zaharan Hashim, on Tuesday (15).

Police Spokesperson and Attorney-at-Law SSP Nihal Thalduwa told News 1st that detectives recorded the statement from the accused at the Welikada Prison for approximately five hours.

He said further statements will be recorded as investigations continue into the terror attacks of April 21, 2019.
