Eraj Fernando resigns as Hambantota Mayor

COLOMBO (News 1st); Hambantota Mayor Eraj Fernando announced on Thursday (10), that he would be stepping down from the post of Mayor.
Eraj Fernando made the announcement at the Hambantota Municipal Council's monthly general meeting on Thursday (10) morning.
He said his decision to resign was made because he wished to be actively involved in the political activities of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
