Rs. 19 Mn worth drugs detected from overseas parcels

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Customs on Tuesday (8) detected five parcels containing Kush and Cocaine sent to Sri Lanka from Canada, the USA, and the Netherland.

The value of the narcotics is estimated at approximately Rs. 19 Million, said Customs Spokesperson Sudantha SIlva.

The drugs were handed over to the Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs for further investigations.
