COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police arrested three suspects in the Erukkalampiddy town of Mannar, with over 1 kilogram of narcotic substance ICE in their possession.

Two suspects who were transporting the narcotic substance on a motorcycle and another suspect who aided and abetted the act of narcotic smuggling were arrested, Police said on Saturday (Feb. 5).

A three-wheeler was also seized during the arrest.

The raid was carried out based on a tip-off received by officers attached to the Mannar Navy Camp.

The suspects aged between 21 to 39-years and residents of Mannar, will be produced at the Mannar Magistrate’s Court on Saturday (5).
