(VIDEO) Monkey trouble in Hali-Ela; Cultivations destroyed & locals want them removed

COLOMBO (News 1st); People in Hali-Ela, Badulla are being troubled not by fellow humans, but by a gang of mischievous monkeys.

The people of Hali-Ela mainly depend on their cultivations to make ends meet, and because of these monkeys, they are finding it difficult to survive.

This is because the gang of monkeys ransacks their cultivations leaving nothing behind.

CCTV footage obtained by News 1st also showed monkeys storming into a house to find something to eat, after destroying many crops.

The locals have appealed to the relevant authorities to relocate these monkeys, which have turned into a menace over the recent weeks.
