Four dead after drowning in Gerandi Ella, One reported missing

COLOMBO (News 1st); 4 people who were on a weekend outing have drowned while swimming for recreation

in the Gerandi Ella Falls in Bandarawela on Saturday (29).

One other woman who was part of the group continues to remain missing, said local authorities.

The deceased are between the ages of 20 & 21, said Police.

According to reports, they were caught off guard by a strong current.
