Five including cop dead in motor accidents

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said on Saturday (22) that five people died as a result of motor accident in several areas.

According to Police, these accidents were reported in Maharagama, Ahangama, Dehiaththakandiya, Thirappane and Nochchiyagama.

Furthermore, Police noted that a Policeman attached to the Maharagama Police, who is a resident of Kaduruwela was also among the victims.

Police said that reckless driving was a main reason for the accidents.
