COLOMBO (News 1st); Jathika Jana Balawegaya Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake says he will limit his cabinet to 25 members if his administration is elected.
Speaking at a meeting in Moratuwa on Wednesday (19), the JJB Leader stated that discussions are taking place with political party leaders in the North and East on forming a Government.
Dissanayake, speaking at the event, stated that although the people of the country have good hopes, the rulers have bad aspirations, and therefore the rulers are at fault for the current state of the country.
However, if the people are repeating the same mistake then there is a problem with that as well, he said.
Speaking further, the JJB Leader pointed out that the Government does not have enough dollars to import fuel, or crude oil required to run the refinery. He also stated that it is a country which does not have its own ports, oil tanks, power plants, oil refineries, historical heritage, and lands
"Do you believe that these main two parties will uplift the country? If you believe so, we have to address that as an issue first," he said.
When another person demanded as why they should vote for the JJB and asked as to what the party is planning to do in the future, the JJB Leader stated that he will limit his Cabinet to simply 25 members, and 25 deputy ministers with no State Ministers, and mentioned that the party is currently holding talks with the Tamil and Muslim community leaders in the North and East.
