COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Cricket’s Selection Committee selected several players as replacements to those who were infected with COVID-19 to play in Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe ODI series.
The series is due to commence on the 16th January 2022 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
01) Dasun Shanaka – Captain
02) Avishka Fernando – He will not play in the series, as he has tested Positive for Covid-19
03) Pathum Nissanka
04) Minod Bhanuka
05) Dhananjaya De Silva – Vice Captain – He will not play as he is on Paternity Leave
06) Charith Asalanka
07) Chamika Karunaratne
08) Maheesh Theekshana
09) Jeffrey Vandersay
10) Lahiru Kumara – He will not play as he has not fulfilled the ‘fitness standards’
11) Nuwan Thushara
12) Janith Liyanage – He will not play in the series, as he has tested Positive for Covid-19
13) Ramesh Mendis
14) Praveen Jayawickrama
15) Dushmantha Chameera
16) Chamika Gunasekera
17) Kalana Perera - He will not play as he has not fulfilled the ‘fitness standards’
