PUCSL should safeguard public, not oppose them: MP Tissa

COLOMBO (News 1st);  Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Tissa Attanayake says that the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka should safeguard its consumers and the general public, and should not approve the CEB's request to conduct scheduled power outages.

The SJB MP stated that the Opposition strongly condemns the order and said that it will lead to serious issues in the country.

Pointing out that there is no valid reason for cutting power for two hours per day, the Opposition MP stated that this issue is taking place due to the faults of the Government.

Mentioning that the Government has failed to supply fuel, the MP pointed out that the Government itself is responsible to supply fuel to the Electricity Board.
