Why are people attacking me? - Gammanpila

COLOMBO (News 1st); India loyalists themselves are attacking me now, alleges Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila. 

Speaking to media on Friday (07), the Minister stated that nobody spoke on the issue when the Trincomalee oil tanks were given to India on a long term lease, and nobody also commented on the issue of the oil tanks ending up in ruins for hundreds of years without anyone gaining a benefit out of them.

Pointing out that India is indeed disappointed that Sri Lanka has taken the tanks from them, the Minister stated that people are opposing his decision when the country can take use of the very tanks.

The Energy Minister on Thursday (06) night signed the agreement confirming the ownership of the Oil Tanks in Trincomalee.
