Transport facilities streamlined from Sunday (02)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Transport Officials say that transport facilities have been streamlined for those who are visiting Colombo from rural areas.

The Director-General of the National Transport Commission, Nilan Miranda said that additional buses will be added to the service from Sunday (02).

He urged bus drivers to refrain from overcrowding.

Speaking to News 1st, the Chief Operating Officer of the Sri Lanka Transport Board, A.S.B. Weerasuriya said the number of inter-provincial buses has also been gradually increased.

Meanwhile, the Department of Railways said that train services are also operating without any hindrance.
