COLOMBO (News 1st); Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajya Sabha MP Subramaniam Swamy has said that if India wants an ally for the Indian Ocean in the long term, India must give a deferred interest $10 billion loan to the Rajapaksa government of Sri Lanka.
In a tweet, Swamy noted that if the Modi Government does not follow such a measure, it will face a situation where China will be getting one more junior partner.
"Modi govt has failed in so many foreign policy issues. Let not Sri Lanka be another," he tweeted on Thursday (30).
