COLOMBO (News 1st); The Railway Department and the Sri Lanka Transport Board have decided to collaborate in the event of a strike.
The SLTB Chairman, Kingsley Ranawaka, speaking to media stated that the two institutions have decided to go for a joint program to transport passengers.
Accordingly, SLTB buses will be deployed to transport passengers to and from the required stations so as not to inconvenience the public in the event of an emergency strike, and the Railway Department will function in the same manner.
