Over 70,000 tourist arrivals in December: SLTDA

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) says that around 70,000 tourists have arrived in the country in December.

The Director-General of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Dhammika Wijesinghe said most tourists arrived in the country from India, England, Germany, Russia, the United States and Australia.

She said an increase in the rate of tourist arrivals to the country has been observed as well.

The Director General of SLTDA, Wijesinghe also noted that around 80,000 tourists are expected to arrive in the country in January 2022.
