Private aircraft makes emergency landing in Kimbulapitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st); A private aircraft has made an emergency landing in Kimbulapitiya, Negombo on Monday (27) afternoon.

Sri Lanka Air Force Spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe speaking to News 1st said all four people on board sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

Two pilots and a foreign couple were thus injured.

It is reported that they were flying from Sigiriya to Koggala, and encountered an issue en route, forcing the pilots to make an emergency landing.

Sri Lanka Air Force Spokesperson Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe said a rescue team of 20 personnel was deployed to the site.
