Police vigilant on COVID violators

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have launched an operation in search of people who fail to comply with COVID-19 health guidelines during the festive season. The police officers on duty including intelligence officers and traffic police have been instructed to monitor whether the general public acts in compliance with the health guidelines, Police Spokesperson Attorney-at-Law SSP Nihal Thalduwa said. He noted that Police will take action against those who fail to follow the necessary health guidelines, especially when using public transport services and visiting public places. SSP Thalduwa further requested shop owners to ensure that the respective COVID-19 health guidelines are followed.
