Chartered Engineer appointed DIG for first time

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police had promoted a Chartered Engineer to the position of DIG for the first time in history.

The DIG appointee, Thushara Gamlath, is a past pupil of Colombo Ananda College, is also a postgraduate degree holder in telecommunication science. 

DIG Gamlath had also conducted many lectures on an international scale, in addition to having served as a member of the United Nations peacekeeping force in South Sudan.
