Prices of goods can be controlled by next April: Minister Chandrasena

COLOMBO (News 1st); Prices of essential goods can be controlled by next year, says the Minister of Lands, S.M. Chandrasena. 

Speaking at a media briefing held in Anuradhapura, the Minister assured that the prices of vegetables and other foods items can be reduced by next year April, in time for the Sinhala and Tamil News Year celebrations.

Moreover, the Minister said that the Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa has implemented a massive plan to distribute adequate funds to villagers across the country for agriculture, strategic development and fishing.

" Ignore the opinions of others. We believe that we will be able to provide the people, what they need by the Sinhala and Tamil New Year," he stated.
