COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Deputy Director-General of Public Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath urged the public to get the booster dose of the vaccine against COVID-19as soon as possible.

He warned that there could be a rise in COVID cases in Sri Lanka during the holiday season.

“If one already received the booster shot, the probability of getting infected is minimal, he said adding the booster can also help prevent the number of infections and deaths as well.
