15-year old boy succumbs to death due to ordnance

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police said that a 15 year old boy succumbed to injuries after an ordnance exploded in an abandoned property in Muttur on Sunday (12).

The Police further stated that the victim, who was in search for food for goats at his home, encountered an ordnance when he was cutting several branches of a tree down. 

Subsequently, the victim, who was severely injured, has died upon admission to the Thoppur Hospital.

Police are conducting further investigations into this incident.
