Northern Province phase of Vanitha Bhimana held in Jaffna

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Northern Province phase of the Sri Lanka Vanitha Bhimana 2021 program jointly organized by NDB and News 1st was held in Jaffna on Saturday (11).

The "Deya Nagana Vanitha Balaganwuma - Sri Lanka Vanitha Bhimana 2021" is a program organized for appreciation of courageous women in the country.

The Northern Provincial program was held at the Weerasingham Hall in Jaffna in line with the health guidelines on Saturday (11).

The NDB Bank empowered this program while the winners of the Northern Province were felicitated this afternoon.

The program falls under 10 categories including Enterprises, Young Leaders, Volunteer Services, Education, Sports and Environmental Management.

These 10 winners will be selected by a panel of experienced judges and will qualify for the forthcoming Sri Lanka Vanitha Bhimana 2021 National Competition.

Meanwhile, a number of programs including women's workshops and seminars were held throughout the day with the assistance of the Vocational Training Authority.

The Sri Lanka Vanitabhimana Uva Provincial program is scheduled to be held next Saturday at Bandarawela.
