Borella robbery: Five Police teams deployed

COLOMBO (News 1st); Five Police teams have been deployed to arrest the suspects who fled after robbing a jewelry shop in Borella on Saturday (11).

Police stated that the Colombo Crimes Division is conducting investigations in connection with the incident.

Two persons who had arrived on a motorcycle on Saturday (11) afternoon had threatened the employees with a pistol, intimidated the customers, had fired shots into air and have fled after robbing the shop of jewelry.

The Police mentioned that the robbers had taken five boxes containing jewelry with them.

However, the value of the stolen jewelry has not been estimated yet.
