No legal framework for gas regulation: Minister Ramesh

COLOMBO (News 1st); If the Government made a mistake, we have to admit it, says Minister (Dr) Ramesh Pathirana with regard to the recent cases of Gas explosions that occurred in the country.

Speaking at an event held in Hikkaduwa on Saturday (11), the Minister said that there is an issue in the regulation of gas in the country.

Pointing out that this was an issue which persisted throughout the last 30 to 40 years, the Minister added that a legal framework is necessary for the protection of people with regard to the cases of gas explosions.
