Sri Lanka given fertilizer from best Chinese company - Dep. Ambassador tells Speaker

China's Deputy Ambassador to Sri Lanka Hu Wei met with speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana at the parliamentary complex on Wednesday (8).

News1st made inquiries from the speaker on the matters that were discussed during the meeting.

He said the Deputy Chinese Ambassador had told him that incidents like the recent crisis surrounding fertilizer must not occur in the future.

The Deputy Chinese Ambassador had said Sri Lanka was given fertilizer through the best company in China, when an order was placed for organic fertilizer.

He had expressed his regret over the issues that arose over the stock of fertilizer.

The Deputy Chinese Ambassador had told the Speaker that the ties between the two countries must be maintained in future as well.
