COLOMBO (News 1st); State Minister of Cooperative Services, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection, Lasantha Alagiyawanna says that the Consumer Affairs Authority has granted its approval to issue LP gas for industries and crematoriums.

Commenting on whether or not compensation will be paid to the people affected due to the explosions related to gas cylinders, State Minister Alagiyawanna said several units are conducting investigations into the matter.

According to the State Minister, as of now, the relevant authorities have concluded that the respective companies should bear the responsibility in this regard.
