TID nabs man for links with Easter Attacks suspects

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Terrorist Investigations Division arrested a 25-year-old male from Hingula, for having links with the suspects connected to the 2019 Easter Sunday Attacks.

Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa speaking to News 1st said the suspect had attended a sermon and training provided by terrorist Zaharan Hashim in Hambantota.

Investigations revealed that the suspect had concealed information from authorities, and he will be detained and interrogated by the Terrorist Investigations Division, said the Police Spokesperson.
