COLOMBO (News 1st); The political movement led by SJB MP Patali Champika Ranawaka, the '43rd Brigade' lodged a complaint
alleging fraud in the importation of nano nitrogen fertilizer
at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery of Corruption (CIABOC) yesterday (30).Lawyers who were representing the political movement, who lodged the complaint, pointing out that the price of the fertilizer was increased when it was purchased by Sri Lanka, alleged that a certain middleman has been profited by people's funds.
Stating that authorities often commit a crime to cover up another, the lawyers also requested the Government to not to waste public funds by committing fraud and to launch an investigation into the incident with immediate effect.
