COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan Authorities decided to close down the Ella – Passa Road after a landslide was reported close to the 16th kilometer post on Sunday (28).

The Director General of the Road Development Authority said that the decision was also made due to rocks and debris falling on to the road.

The road will be re-opened for traffic only after the necessary observations are made by the National Building Research Organization.
