Govt has destroyed law & order: MP Chaminda Wijesiri

COLOMBO (News 1st); Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Chaminda Wijesiri today (26) alleged that the Government has not only destroyed the country's economy and agriculture, but has begun destroying the law of the country as well. Citing the murder of Lunuwilage Lasantha alias 'Tinker Lasantha', the MP stated that although his crimes were punishable by death by the court of law or by imprisonment, the suspect was surprisingly taken outside the prison and was subsequently killed MP Wijesiri further alleged that the Government has killed murderers and prisoners who were involved in a large number of murders while they were about to be punished by law. This could pose a serious problem in the international arena regarding the law which is being implemented in the country, he added.
