Colombo businessman nabbed for attempting to smuggle Rs. 14 Mn to Dubai

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Customs on Tuesday (23) intercepted a man who attempted to smuggle currency to Dubai, from the Katunayake Airport.

Officials said that local and foreign currency valued at over Rs. 14 Million was found in the possession of the 27-year-old businessman from Colombo.

Rs. 10 Million in Sri Lankan Currency and 25,000 USD was recovered from the hand luggage of the suspect.
