COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed to import agrochemicals through the private sector for vegetables, maize, and other grain cultivation.

President Rajapaksa on Monday (22) reiterated that a green agricultural economy is the government’s policy.

The Head Of State held discussions with all stakeholders at the presidential secretariat with regard to the situation that has arisen concerning fertilizer and agrochemicals.

He has assured that neither chemical fertilizer nor agrochemicals will be distributed among anyone under the relief program implemented by the government.
