Investigations should be carried out to inquire into fertilizer import irregularities: MP Chandima

COLOMBO (News 1st);  Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Chandima Weerakkody says that an investigation should be carried out to inquire if irregularities had taken place when importing liquid nano nitrogen fertilizer from India. The SLPP MP went onto say that it is important to inquire whether the transactions to import the nano nitrogen fertilizer took place in a transparent way. " India has constantly been supporting Sri Lanka, but if someone had an underhand deal at a time of an agricultural crisis in Sri Lanka, then we should make sure that the law in this country remains the same for everyone, I demand that from the Government as well as the Judiciary," he stated. Furthermore, he stated that it has to be admitted that people have lost faith in the Government to a great extent.
