Update: Two with minor injuries reported in Cinnamon Gardens explosion

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police say that two persons with minor injuries were reported after an explosion occurred at a restaurant owned by an international company on the ground floor of the Colombo Race Course this morning. The Police Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the two youth were waiting for a taxi at a car park near the scene of the blast. The two youths have been directed to a hospital to treatment of minor injuries and later returned to the Cinnamon Gardens Police Station to inform Police of the incident, the Police Spokesperson added. The Police previously stated that a gas leak is suspected to have caused the explosion.
