COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Road Development Authority said that the construction of the Central Expressway from Mirigama to Kurunegala (40.91 Km) will be completed and opened for the public by the end of November 2021.

RDA Director General S. V. S. Weerakoon told News 1st that only the final touches on road marking remains to be completed, as recent heavy rains hampered the process.

Section 3 of the Central Expressway Project (CEP) from Pothuhera to Rambukkana will be completed by 2024, he added noting that the construction of the Kadawatha to Meerigama section had already commenced.
