Irrigation Department warns residents of four Districts to remain vigilant

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Irrigation Department warns residents near reservoir and tank areas in the Puttalam, Kurunegala, Anuradapura and Vavuniya Districts to remain vigilant of probable floods.

Director of the Water Management Unit of the Irrigation Department, D.S. Abeysiriwardena stated that due to the heavy rains in the upper catchment areas, water will be released from those reservoirs and tanks for at least another week.
