Budget 2022: Parties express conflicting views

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Budget which was tabled in Parliament on 12 November addresses no problems relating to the people of this country, former Parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara says.

Speaking to media, the former Parliamentarian stated that the Government presented a useless budget, as it does not address how the Government is going to protect the farmers, how it is going to develop the agriculture sector or how to maintain the cost of living of the people.

Also speaking on the Budget, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian Dilan Perera said that the Finance Minister presented a balanced budget.

Pointing out that the Finance Minister had to tread a fine line to compile and present the budget, MP Dilan Perera stated that the Minister did the task flawlessly.
