Police arrests suspect with jewelry, cash worth Rs. 1.4Mn

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police have arrested a suspect with stolen jewelry and cash worth Rs. 1.4 million in Ambalangoda. According to Police, the suspect was arrested as he attempted to flee a road block where vehicles were being inspected at random. While the suspect was being escorted to the Police Station, a family was also seen at the station to file a complaint regarding the robbery cash and jewelry from their home. Police stated that the family identified the items in the suspect's possession as those that were stolen from their house.
