Intelligence Services did not visit Zahran: Minister Weerasekara

COLOMBO (News 1st); Minister Sarath Weerasekara today (11) making a special statement at the Parliament refuted the allegations brought out by SJB MPs Manusha Nanayakkara and Harin Fernando about an alleged connection between the State Intelligence Services and the suspect of the Easter Sunday Attacks, Zahran Hashim. MPs Nanayakkara and Fernando previously alleged that the wife of the Easter Attacks Suspect, Abdul Cader Fathima Hadiya has mentioned that the State Intelligence Services visited the the Easter Attacks Suspects' house before the attacks took place. The Minister of Public Defense citing the confessions given by Hadiya to the Ampara Police, the Easter Sunday Attacks Commission and the CID challenged the MPs to show evidence of the relevant matter. Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and SJB MP Lakshman Kiriella also participated in the relevant debate.
