Three new members appointed to "One Country-One Law" Task Force

COLOMBO (News 1st); The President had appointed three new members to the "One Country - One Law" Presidential Task Force. Accordingly, an extraordinary gazette notification has been issued by the Secretary to the President P. B. Jayasundera regarding the appointment of three new members, along with the functions of the Task Force, which have been subjected to revision. According to the gazette notification, Ramalingam Chakrawarthy Karunakaran , Ms. Yogeshwari Padgunaraja and Ayyampillai Dayanandaraja have been appointed as the members of the Task Force. Accordingly, the composition of the Presidential Task Force will increase to 14 members. It is headed by Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero and initially had 13 members, after which two members resigned. The functions of the Task Force has also been amended as to "Presenting proposals for formulating a conceptual framework ideally suited for Sri Lanka after making a study of the said concept taking into account the views and opinions held by various parties with regard to the implementation of the concept: “One Country, One Law,” by the President.
