Probe launched into protest by FSP activists

COLOMBO (News 1st); A Police Investigation has been launched into a protest held by a group of activists of the Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) opposite the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court yesterday (09). Police Media Spokesperson SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated that the investigation was initiated following a complaint lodged by the Courts Registrar. The Police Media Spokesperson further stated that the complaint was received underlining that the activists acted in contempt of the Court. A group of Frontline Socialist Party activists arrested in connection with a previous protest at the Parliament Roundabout have been remanded and were produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court yesterday (09). Other activists of the party held a parallel protest in connection with the above incident.
