AKD questions motive to appoint "One Country-One Law" Task Force

COLOMBO (News 1st); Leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna, Anura Kumara Dissanayake today questioned the Government's motive to appoint the "One Country-One Law" Presidential Task Force from the Prime Minister at the Parliament. Responding to that, the Minister of Public Security Sarath Weerasekara noted that such Task Forces are appointed according to the President's discretion. JVP Leader Dissanayake further questioned the Government's motive to appoint certain individuals to the Task Force, which has the function of bringing laws of the country together and also inquired from the Prime Minister the criteria considered to appoint various persons to the Task Force, on which the Prime Minister did not comment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm5oNjgZxl4
