Special Commodity Levy for imported rice, reduced

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Special Commodity Levy of Rs. 65/- per kilogram of imported rice was reduced to 25 cents with effect from the 2nd of November for a period of six months.

In addition, an Extraordinary Gazette was issued lifting the control prices on Sugar, Dhal, Chicken, Wheat Flour and several other goods.
