Met Department warns of heavy showers today (3)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Meteorological Department forecast heavy showers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North Western, Central and North-Central Provinces and in some places in the Galle and Matara Districts today (03).

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours states that although the low pressure area around the island is gradually declining, there will still be favorable weather conditions for thundershowers around the island in the evening.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the island during the evening or night.

Moreover, the Meteorological Department warns the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms.
