COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested five Indonesian women and a Sri Lankan for prostitution in Mount Lavinia.

Police said they have received information regarding a racket involving Indonesian women being exploited for prostitution in Sri Lanka and a raid was carried out by the Walana Anti-Corruption Unit, down De Seram Road in Mount Lavinia, based on a tip-off.

Accordingly, five Indonesian woman and a resident of Kurunegala identified as the Manager of the ring were arrested during the raid.

The suspects aged between 35 to 51-years are due to be produced at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today (30).
