PCR lab at BIA operational again

COLOMBO (News 1st); The PCR Medical Laboratory affiliated to the Bandaranaike International Airport, which was previously temporarily closed, has been reopened to the passengers at the airport. Sumudu Sarasija, the Manager of the Medical Laboratory, said that PCR tests can be done on passengers arriving in Sri Lanka with a single dose and those departing from Sri Lanka who have been fully vaccinated. There is a charge of US $ 40 for each PCR test and arrangements have been made to provide the results to the passengers within 3 hours. A group of passengers who arrived at the Katunayake Airport from Doha, Qatar on a Qatar Airways flight at 02.15 this morning arrived at the laboratory for PCR tests today (27).
