COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Under-19 Cricket Team made a clean sweep in their series against Bangladesh Under-19 in Dambulla, taking the five-match series 5 - 0, with a nailbiting 4 run win in the 5th Youth ODI.

Batting first Sri Lanka U19 posted 240 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets thanks to a century by Chamindu Wickremesinghe (102) and a half-ton by Shevon Daniel (59).

Mushfik Hasan was the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh U19 picking up 3 wickets for 37 runs.

Chasing 241 runs for win Bangladesh U19 got off to a strong start with a 67 runs opening stand between Mahfijul Islam (62) and Iftikher Hossain (32).

Aich Mollah also chipped in with a half-century(55), however, it was not enough as the Sri Lanka U19 bowling department proved to be too strong, dismissing the visitors 236 runs.
