Japanese Ambassador pays farewell call on President

COLOMBO (News 1st); Japanese Ambassador Akira Sugiyama called on President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (25).

The President commended Akira Sugiyama for his services to Sri Lanka in various ways, including obtaining 600,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from the Government of Japan.

The Japanese Ambassador told the President that he would seek to assist Sri Lanka at any time, strengthening the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
