Over 600,000 Pfizer vaccine doses reach Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st): Another consignment of 608,000 Pfizer vaccine doses manufactured in the United States, reached the island on Tuesday (Oct. 19).

The consignment was dispatched to Sri Lanka from Doha, Qatar.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 39,862 people were administered the COVID-19 jab yesterday.

As of now, 14 million 780,138 people in Sri Lanka have received the 1st dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Presidential Secretariat’s Vaccination Dashboard

According to the Presidential Secretariat, 12 million 783,535 people in the country are fully vaccinated.
