Bribery Comm. confirms probe on Nadesan & Nirupama

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption says it commenced an investigation based on the evidence provided by Thirukumar Nadesan, the husband of Former Deputy Minister Nirupama Rajapaksa, embroiled in the Pandora Papers expose'.

CIABOC said the investigations will focus on local assets and INTERPOL assistance will be obtained on claims of assets located overseas.

Thirukumar Nadesan had visited the CIABOC to provide statements on two separate occasions.

A 10-member team is leading the investigation.
